Gratification

We have become a people that expect instant gratification. Gratification however cannot be attained instantly. Be it outside of necessity there is no true gratification because the self is always wanting more. This is why people live above their means and live multiple lives. There is no satisfaction for man. As a society we have introduced too many options yet we still hold a strict set of rules; moral rules, of which we live by. So when one does achieve some sort of satisfaction it is only an illusion of the moment.  Satisfaction is not sustainable.
